Roots that Nourish the Light By Olesia Miftahova Soft pastel 2025 - This painting, titled Roots that Nourish the Light, is the second work in the Garden of Memory series, which I have been developing over the past six months. The series currently includes five completed pieces. Some of them have already been exhibited as part of a solo show in the UK, where they received very positive feedback from both visitors and fellow artists.The light emanating from the girl in the painting and the roots stretching into the earth illustrate how the soul exists across multiple moments in time, sustaining the infinite cycle of existence. The tree's roots serve as the source of energy for the light, emphasising the deep connection that unites all things in this world.The painting is presented framed with a mount (passepartout). The artwork itself measures 40 by 30 cm, and with the frame and mount included, the total dimensions are 50 by 40 cm. Condition: Good Condition, as in images Dimensions: 40 x 30 cm
