But as I worked on the painting, something distant and unknown became more and more apparent. Something that is there, in the bright space that leads to the unknown. And to know it, to see it, you need to fly into this space. So what is there, beyond the hori-zon? My name is Valentina Ritorova, I live in Latvia. I paint with oil and acrylic, sometimes using texture paste. I like to paint abstracts and landscapes, sometimes seascapes. I really like bright colors that give strength and energy, inspire and a good mood. Abstraction gives the opportunity to think broadly on certain topics and embody ideas in painting metaphors, and colors add expressive-ness. I create paintings, expressing my emotions, my world in them. The viewer continues to co-create it, creating their own worlds. In abstraction, the viewer is my co-author.
