Ijaw Fisherman By Chidi Ebere 2025 Relief Sculpture Artwork Not Signed - SHIPS FROM Doncaster, England ”Ijaw Fisherman” is a sculptural homage to the Ijaw people's deep-rooted connection to water and tradition. The figure stands proudly, holding freshly caught fish, with a calabash and rope slung over his shoulder. Every detail captures the dignity of labour and the rhythms of riverine life. It celebrates resilience, cultural pride, and the sustenance drawn from the Niger Delta. I am a contemporary Igbo artist with a diploma in Fine Arts and a Masters degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Sheffield Hallam University in England. My multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, and relief work, drawing from Nigeria’s indigenous heritage and visual storytelling.
