A self-portrait in another self Sara Adib Mixed Media- photo painting 2022 - SHIPS FROM Iran Subjectivity Beyond a shattered image is from 2020 and it will continue to evolve as the legal process unfolds.)This ongoing body of work emerges from my confrontation with the French justice system after a personal accident.Although responsibility was acknowledged, the process has been prolonged, and justice feels incomplete. The project reflects the emotional toll of this experience the sense of almost losing oneself in the waiting — and transforms it into an act of resilience. It speaks to the courage of Iranian women standing for themselves, because many subjects are considered as taboo and they will rejected by the society while also addressing justice as a pressing issue in contemporary society. Still in development, the project uses abstraction and layering to capture the tension between personal trauma and broader social critique.It emphasize on moments of transformation in a person with which redefine identity, perception and experience.it portrays an exploration of transition we experience well as what is left behind or belongs to the past.It adds information to the photographic context and thus creates a dialogue, an interconnection between painting and photography. My goal is therefore to present these two aspects (painting and photography) as a whole, a set without distorting them and stripping them of their identity. I strive to produce photo-paintings in a way that is very personal to me, with my artist's eye, even if it means jeopardizing the taste for classical balance.
