The Fig Tree Gretchen Sandiford Water colour on cartridge paper 2020 Artwork Signed - SHIPS FROM Warrington, The idea of this artwork is based on an ancient African story about a fig tree. My elders migrated to Britain in the early 1950s from the Caribbean. My own story is of blended cultures; a child of the ‘Windrush generation’. My childhood was - born and lived in Chapeltown and surrounding areas of Leeds with its great exposure to global influences. Condition: Good Condition, as in images Dimensions: 29 x 40 cm
