The painting symbolizes the vulnerability of women in a world that often targets them. Women are often targeted in different ways, it could be societal pressures (infertility) and the dangers women face (rape, domestic violence etc) The Parrot signifies the voices of the masses trying to crucify her about her choices in life.The concept of the wheel colour or ”Archive target” relates to the cyclical nature of violence against women. The colours used in the painting symbolize different aspects of the struggle she constantly endures; while the wheel itself is a representation of the ongoing struggles of this gender that requires constant attention and action to break the cycle. This piece intends to evoke emotional responses, drawing viewers into the narrative and prompting them to reflect on these critical issues and how they can be influenced to engage in a meaningful discussion for change.
