Bidspirit auction | CAMERA TWO By Jadwiga Kindermann

CAMERA TWO By Jadwiga Kindermann (Yaj) Water based oils. 2011 Signed - SHIPS FROM United Kingdom Camera Two was inspired by the busy New York streets. I opted for a camera angle by homing in on street mode then swinging the angle to make a more interesting take on a very ordinary situation. The people have been slightly altered; some are added. (Like the little dog).It is painted on a deep edged canvas which has painted edges so the painting does not necessarily need framing. I began painting and drawing on the wallpaper by my cot much to the horror of my mother. Since then art always became the priority and I doodled my way through school eventually taking a graphic course at Art College which never really amounted to anything but kept me out of the textile factories which was a given in seventies Lancashire. At sixteen my sister and I fled to Herefordshire to embark on artistic careers; she through music and me through art. It soon became very clear that in a farming community, two vegan artists would never achieve their dreams. So after years of every job you can imagine, I eventually became carer to my mother who moved near us in 1999 and would suffer from dementia and severe scoliosis of the spine in the years to come. My art became MY carer; something to cling onto. It also became a reminder of who I really was. During that time I managed to secure regular exhibitions at my local Leisure Centre which often caused a stir as my works were both large and conversation pieces. I am a great believer in the ordinary being anything but. If you take the time to delve into the wonder of the simplicity of life and our existence, you can find the complex world of tangible miracles. I am Polish, sixty-three and the only partner I have had in my life has been my art. I row with it, fall back in love with it and it's always a shoulder to cry on when the world morphs into Clownworld. As a vegan and animal rights activist some of my works often reflected that in powerful statement pieces. Nothing graphic, but with enough courage to make people stop, look and think about the elephant in the room. Condition: Good Condition, as in images Dimensions: 102 x 76.5 cm
