Six Passenger Albany vis-a-vis sleigh - Six Passenger Albany vis-a-vis horse-drawn sleigh with original makers tag for Elliots Carriage Depository, Providence, RI, sells with pole, 61” x 133” x 92”H -Excellent restoration > HISTORY: Pulled by teams of four prancing horses draped with sleigh bells and harness decorated by colorful tassels, these sleighs were the highlight of the sleighing season. They were sometimes called ”Hudson Valley Sleigh” since they were prevalent in that area. Marked by its swell-body made of steam bent wood panels, and an S-shaped wooden dash which curls upward over the front seat occupant's knees, this particular sleigh features an ample folding bow top. >> PROVENANCE: Sold at the 1980 Huckleberry Farm auction in Norton, NY to James R Coson. Then sold to Dinwiddie Lampton who sold it at auction in 2005. *NOTE: BUYER TO ARRANGE PICKUP. This item MUST be removed from the premises by JUNE 27. Condition: Excellent restoration
