English 1-horse Pickering Float - English 1-horse Pickering Float made for Julia Hoskins Farmer's egg delivery, shafts attached, sells with pair of lamps , 65” x 134” x 57”H (with shafts) -older restoration, needing repair to one lamp bracket > HISTORY: Floats were large vehicles set on crank axles and were used mainly as tradesman vehicles. It has a cross seat for the driver and sometimes an additional seat for passengers. The shafts were built inside the body of the vehicle and a chrome rein rail adds an additional touch to the cane panels. Well-suited for showing a cob-size horse or for private driving.
