Wilder Mayo Bentley, also known as Wilder Bentley the Younger or Wilder Bentley II, was a California printmaker, painter, craftsman, and composer. Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Berkeley, he learned printing and typesetting from his father, Harvey Wilder Bentley, and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1951. He studied watercolor and sumi painting with Chiura Obata and opened the Bread and Wine Press in San Francisco in 1959, where he published original prints, writings, and compositions.
