Scheurich Keramik 1970s Fat Lava Jug or Vase - A Scheurich Keramik jug or vase, dating from the 1970s. The ceramic piece features a handle, a tapered cylindrical form, and a flared rim. It is characterized by a distinctive ”fat lava” type speckled glaze with a cream-to-pale-yellow base color profusely flecked with dark brown to black spots across its body. The rim and base are finished in a contrasting, thick, dark brown to black textured glaze, which appears intentionally irregular. The unglazed base reveals a light-colored stoneware body.
