Two volumes of the Book of Common Prayer including a Lord Wharton presentation edition - This lot consists of two early 20th-century religious volumes. The first is an Oxford edition of the Book of Common Prayer bound in black textured leather. The front cover is gold-stamped with the inscription: By the will of Philip, Lord Wharton, 1696. Presented 1916. The interior contains a formal presentation page dedicated to William Cameron of the Parish of Frizington, dated 1916. The second volume is titled Common Prayer Hymns A&M and is bound in a cream pebble-grain material with a gilt cross on the front cover. The flyleaf bears a handwritten personal inscription: To my dear Mother from her Son Willie 19th July 1930 from London. Both volumes feature gilt titles to the spines.
