The vessel is decorated in the prunus pattern, featuring white plum blossoms reserved against a vibrant cobalt blue ground. A scalloped white border is positioned at the shoulder. The unglazed base retains an original printed paper label from The Chinese Merchandise Emporium, Ltd., identifying the item as a China Product originally containing Ginger in Syrup, with corresponding Chinese characters. A small white adhesive inventory sticker with the handwritten number 976 is also present on the underside.
