A Pair of Walker and Hall Silver-Plated Lion Candlesticks - A pair of silver-plated candlesticks attributed to Walker and Hall of Sheffield. Each candlestick is cast in the form of a rampant lion supporting a staff, which is topped with a cylindrical candle nozzle. The nozzles are ornamented with high-relief foliate and floral motifs. The lions are mounted on lobed bases featuring scrolled borders. The design includes a shield positioned at the base of each staff. The pieces are manufactured from silver-toned metal showing characteristics of silver plate.
