A Collection of US Silver and Base Metal Coins - A collection of US coins comprising silver and copper-nickel denominations. The group includes a 1964 Kennedy half dollar struck in 0.900 fine silver at the Denver Mint, featuring a D mint mark on the reverse. Also present is a 1962 Washington quarter in silver from the Denver Mint and a 1940 Mercury dime in silver, also from the Denver Mint. The collection is completed by a 1902 Liberty Head nickel struck in copper-nickel alloy. The silver denominations feature reeded edges, while the nickel has a plain edge. The 1964 Kennedy half dollar represents the only year this design was produced in 90 percent silver for general circulation.
