The item is constructed from a medium-toned wood with a lustrous finish. It is accented with metal strapwork and tacks that form a decorative saddlecloth on the back and bands around the legs. The figure features two inset tusks of a light-coloured material and a trunk curled at the tip. No manufacturer marks, labels, or country of origin stamps are apparent on the visible surfaces.
