A Group of British Second World War Campaign Medals Attributed to Lt-Col A.A. Nicholas, M.C. - A group of British Second World War campaign medals presented in a wooden and glass display frame. The collection comprises a bronze 1939-45 Star, an Africa Star, and a Burma Star, each featuring the royal GRI/VI monogram. These are accompanied by a cupro-nickel Defence Medal and a 1939-1945 War Medal, both depicting the effigy of King George VI on the obverse. The War Medal ribbon is fitted with a bronze oak leaf emblem signifying the recipient was Mentioned in Despatches (M.I.D.). An included handwritten identification tag attributes the set to Lt-Col A.A. Nicholas, M.C., of the 15th Punjab Regiment. The medals are suspended from their respective silk ribbons.
