A Collection of 15 AAFES Military Gift Certificate Tokens (Pogs) - A collection of 15 military gift certificate tokens issued by the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), colloquially known as pogs. These circular cardboard tokens were utilised as scrip in overseas contingency operations, including Iraq and Afghanistan, to replace metal coinage. The assortment includes denominations of 5¢, 10¢, and 25¢ with various issue dates between 2004 and 2010. The tokens feature diverse military-themed illustrations, such as a C-130 Hercules aircraft on a 10¢ token, military divers on a 2004 25¢ token, and a 2005 issue commemorating 90 years of AAFES service featuring a mobile canteen. Other designs include a 2009 10¢ token marked Germany K-MC and a 25¢ token featuring a combined Union Jack and Stars and Stripes design.
