UK 1882-H Victoria Bun Head Bronze One Penny - UK bronze one penny dated 1882. The obverse features the Bun Head portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, surrounded by the legend VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:. The reverse depicts a seated Britannia facing right, holding a trident and shield, with the legend ONE PENNY and the date 1882 in the exergue. A small H mint mark is visible below the date, indicating the coin was struck at the Heaton Mint in Birmingham. This issue was produced to supplement the output of the Royal Mint.
