Mexican 925 Silver and Abalone Shell Inlay Bib Collar Necklace - A vintage bib-style collar necklace crafted from 925 silver. The piece is constructed with a rigid, round-profile torque collar that supports a three-part articulated bib. The central component is a crescent-shaped panel featuring a fanned, openwork design at the lower edge. This is flanked by two vertical rectangular panels decorated with a geometric Greek key motif. All three panels are embellished with crushed, multicoloured abalone shell inlay set within a black resin or lacquer ground. The design is characteristic of mid-20th-century Mexican modernist jewellery. The sections are joined by silver jump rings to allow for movement when worn.
