Spode Blue Italian Pattern Octagonal Serving Bowl - A Spode Blue Italian pattern octagonal serving bowl. The earthenware bowl features underglaze blue transfer-printed decoration. The central interior depicts a pastoral landscape with classical ruins, figures, and animals, surrounded by a repeating floral and foliate border at the rim. The exterior facets of the bowl are decorated with continuous landscape scenes. The underside features a black printed factory mark with Spode in Gothic script, Made in England, Italian, Spode Design, C.1816, and the letter V. Diameter: 25 cm Height: 11 cm.
