A late 20th-century mahogany-finished extending dining suite comprising a pedestal table and a set of chairs - A traditional-style dining suite featuring an extending dining table and a matching set of chairs. The table is constructed from mahogany-finished wood and features a veneered ovaloid top with shaped, scalloped ends and a decorative moulded edge. The tabletop is comprised of two sections with a central seam for extension, supported by a central turned pedestal base with four out-swept, curved legs. The underside shows a wooden frame and hinges, suggesting it houses an internal extension leaf. The accompanying set of chairs includes carvers with arms and side chairs. Each chair features a triple-hoop balloon-style back with carved scroll-work details to the central slats. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a contemporary cream-coloured fabric with a black and grey floral botanical pattern. No maker marks are visible.
