An English Vintage Coopered Oak Biscuit Barrel and an Assortment of Miniature Wooden Fruits - A traditional English coopered oak biscuit barrel featuring wooden staves bound by silver-toned metal hoops at the top and base. The barrel is fitted with a matching silver-toned lid featuring a central turned knob and a wire swing handle. A blank shield-shaped metal cartouche is mounted to the front elevation. The interior contains a removable off-white ceramic liner. Accompanying the barrel is an assortment of five small, turned, and hand-painted wooden miniature fruits, including representations of an apple, lemon, lime, pear, and a grooved bulbous form. The base of the ceramic liner displays remnants of a blue printed mark, including the numeral 7 and other illegible characters.
