A Set of 20th Century Regency Style Mahogany Dining Furniture - A set of mid to late 20th-century reproduction dining furniture in the Regency style. The lot comprises an extending pedestal dining table and a matching set of dining chairs. The table top is finished with mahogany veneers and features a decorative cross-banded border and a shaped serpentine edge with a moulded profile. The top is designed with a central seam to accommodate an extending mechanism. It is supported by a substantial central turned and fluted pedestal with four splayed legs, each featuring carved scroll detailing at the knees. The chairs are designed with shaped balloon-style backs and three pierced vertical splats. They are raised on curved front legs and slightly splayed back legs. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a modern cream fabric featuring a large-scale floral pattern in shades of grey and black. A paper label is present on the underside of the table, though the text is not clearly legible for transcription.
