UK 19th-20th Century Collection of Pre-Decimal Coins, Mixed Metals - A collection of British pre-decimal and early decimal currency comprising a large assortment of loose coins in a metal tin and a separate boxed display set. The loose coinage includes various denominations such as half crowns, florins, shillings, sixpences, and large bronze pennies. Visible monarchs include Queen Victoria, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II, with inscriptions such as GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP and ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA F:D. The lot includes examples of Irish Eire coinage featuring the harp motif. One individual coin is held within a clear plastic protective flip. The accompanying boxed set is titled COMPLETE SET OF BRASS THREEPENCE FROM THE CORONATION UNTIL DECIMALIZATION and contains brass threepence coins dated 1953 to 1967, featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the crowned portcullis reverse.
