The group includes numerous iron and steel barrel-type skeleton keys for warded or lever locks, several flat-lever cabinet keys, and mid-century cylinder lock keys. Also included is a small brass padlock of standard rectangular form. The container is a vintage square-profile lithographed tinplate biscuit tin. The lid is printed with the text Macfarlane Lang and Hostess ASSORTMENT, featuring a romanticised Regency-style scene of figures with a horse-drawn carriage. Macfarlane Lang was a Scottish biscuit manufacturer active in the mid-20th century.
