A Collection of Seven English Embossed Brass Wall Plaques, attributed to Peerage - A collection of seven decorative wall plaques, attributed to the English manufacturer Peerage and produced in the mid-20th century. The group comprises six circular plaques and one rectangular plaque, each constructed from embossed pressed brass. A dark chemical patination has been applied to the recessed areas of the metalwork to enhance the visual relief and contrast. The collection features two large circular plaques depicting Dutch-style tavern scenes with figures socialising in an interior setting, framed by ornate scroll and foliage borders. Two medium-sized plaques show multi-masted galleons at sea within repeating volute borders. Two smaller circular plaques illustrate rural scenes, including one with figures and a horse, finished with floral borders. The large rectangular plaque features a horizontal arrangement of daffodils and foliage within a raised border decorated with corner medallions. Rectangular plaque length: approximately 60 cm.
