A Collection of Seven Antique Glass and Stoneware Bottles Including Shipstone's Brewery - A collection of seven late 19th and early 20th-century bottles comprising both glass and stoneware examples. Included is a large pale green glass bottle embossed with cursive script reading Shipstones above block capitals reading NOTTINGHAM, identifying it as from Shipstone's Brewery. The stoneware components consist of a brown salt-glazed flagon with a cylindrical body and a pinched pouring lip, typical of a master ink bottle, and a smaller brown salt-glazed cylindrical inkwell with a recessed top and central aperture. The glass portion of the group further contains a dark olive green bottle of the type used for stout or ale, alongside three additional pale green glass bottles of varying utility and medicinal forms.
