Weatherby Royal Falcon Ware Relief-Moulded Floral Jug - A small, relief-moulded glazed earthenware jug produced by Weatherby and Sons in Hanley, England, under the Royal Falcon Ware brand. The piece features a bulbous form with a cream-coloured ground, characterised by an all-over moulded honeycomb or pebble-textured background. It is decorated in high relief with a vibrant floral spray consisting of a large central yellow flower, a red flower above, and several smaller purple blossoms, all set amongst green foliage. The decoration is finished with hand-applied colourful glazes. The jug has a short, simple spout and a scrolled handle. The base bears a printed factory mark in black, featuring a Union Jack flag on a pole with the word DURABILITY inscribed diagonally. To the right of the flag are the words WEATHERBY HANLEY ENGLAND ROYAL FALCON WARE. Additionally, there is a small hand-painted purple decorator mark and an impressed mark which reads ENGLAND. A small adhesive lot sticker numbered 1003 is also present on the base.
