A 20th-century stained hardwood spindle-back rocking chair - A 20th-century rocking chair of traditional form, constructed from stained hardwood with a dark reddish-brown finish. The chair features a high spindle-back with a shaped crest rail featuring a pressed foliate and pineapple motif. The back is composed of seven vertical spindles flanked by larger turned supports. It has shaped, out-swept armrests on turned supports leading to a solid, shaped wooden seat. The chair is raised on four turned legs connected by H-form stretchers, set upon twin curved rockers.
