A Pair of James Sadler and Sons Winster Collection Historical Themed Ceramic Teapots - A pair of glazed ceramic teapots from the Winster collection by James Sadler and Sons Ltd, Staffordshire, England. Each teapot features a distinctive multi-sided body with a serrated, crown-style upper rim, an S-scroll handle, and a shaped spout with gilded accents. The teapots are fitted with domed lids topped with gold-coloured acorn-style finials. Both items are decorated with polychrome transfer-printed portraits and historical scenes. The first teapot focuses on the Elizabethan era, depicting Queen Elizabeth I in a jewelled gown and a nobleman in period attire, bordered by a blue and red geometric floral pattern. The lid includes a circular portrait of a Tudor lady. The second teapot depicts King Henry VIII and one of his consorts, set within panels bordered by a black and gold scroll and floral pattern. The lid is decorated with naval scenes of the Spanish Armada and a cartouche inscribed Fighting Spanish Armada 1588. The items are accompanied by their original blue and gold printed presentation boxes. One box retains a manufacturer label identifying the model as a Winster Teapot 'Henry VIII'.
