An Italian Sorrento-Style Marquetry Drop-Leaf Drinks Trolley - A mid-to-late 20th-century Italian drinks trolley in the Sorrento style, featuring an oval drop-leaf top and a lower rectangular shelf. The piece is constructed with walnut-toned veneers and a high-gloss lacquered finish. Both tiers are decorated with elaborate floral and foliate marquetry inlays in contrasting light-coloured woods. The upper tier is supported by four turned wooden legs and features a handle consisting of scrolled metal brackets with a turned wooden grip. The lower tier is fitted with six brass-finished circular bottle holders. Movement is provided by two large decorative spoked metal wheels with rubber tyres at the front and two smaller swivel casters at the rear. No maker's marks or labels are visible.
