A Collection of Items including a Japanese Lithophane Porcelain Tea Service and a Pair of Brass Candlesticks - A collection of mid-20th-century Japanese eggshell porcelain and vintage metalware. The porcelain service is decorated with detailed landscape scenes in sepia and bronze-toned gilt, depicting traditional pagodas, pine trees, and mountains, finished with gilded rims and highlights. A notable feature is the presence of a lithophane image of a Geisha head in the base of each cup, visible when held to a light source. The service includes a tall lidded pot, a lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, several cups, and several matching saucers. No maker marks are visible. The metalware consists of a pair of matching brass candlesticks designed in the 18th-century Georgian style. These feature classic baluster-turned stems and stepped octagonal bases. The construction is cast and turned. No maker stamps or hallmarks are present.
