A mid-20th-century glazed earthenware crying onion pot attributed to Sadler - This lidded earthenware storage jar features a relief-moulded anthropomorphic crying face, a motif synonymous with the kitchenware ranges produced by British potteries such as John Sadler and Sons Ltd during the mid-20th century. The vessel is globular in form, flanked by two small scrolled handles, and fitted with a domed lid topped by a large ball finial. The piece is finished in a glossy, translucent honey-brown glaze that accentuates the moulded details. No maker's marks are visible on the body or lid in the provided photographs.
