Mid-20th century musical lantern decanter with etched emerald green glass bottle - This decorative musical decanter is designed in the form of a portable lantern. The structure features a hammered copper conical hood and a circular copper-toned base, joined by three twisted metal uprights. It houses a removable emerald green glass bottle which is etched with an architectural scene depicting a two-storey building with a gabled roof and a balcony. Above the building is a line of cursive script, with characters including d, e, n, b, e, r, and g partially discernible, likely referring to the German town of Rothenburg. The piece is topped with a hammered copper finial-style stopper and is equipped with a large, circular wire swing handle. The deep, weighted base contains a wind-up music box mechanism.
