A Quarz-1 8mm Cine Camera with Pistol Grip and Case - A Soviet-made Quarz-1 standard 8mm (Double 8) movie camera, manufactured by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant (KMZ). The camera features a die-cast metal body with a black crinkle-texture finish and polished chrome detailing. It is fitted with a fixed lens system including a TC-2 tele-converter attachment marked 9-38. The top aperture scale indicates settings from f/1.9 to f/16. The side of the body features dials for frame rates of 8, 16, and 32 frames per second, along with a footage counter and exposure settings marked KC and CC. The front face displays the Quarz script logo and the KMZ trapezoid factory emblem. This lot includes an original detachable pistol grip with a trigger release mechanism, a tan leather-effect zippered carrying case with a shoulder strap, and the original instruction manual titled Movie Making with the Quarz.
