A Pair of Tapered Stoneware Garden Planters with Variegated Banding and Incised Decoration - A pair of tapered cylindrical stoneware garden planters, each constructed with a thick, rounded, everted rim and a single drainage hole located at the base. The exterior body of each vessel is decorated with horizontal variegated banding in tones of chocolate brown and ochre. A subtle incised foliate scroll motif is present around the midsection of both items. The interiors are finished in a natural, unglazed stoneware. No maker's marks or capacity stamps are present.
