A Pair of Modernist Brass S-Scroll Candlesticks - A pair of contemporary brass candlesticks featuring an organic, curvilinear design. Each piece consists of a trumpet-form nozzle positioned above a wide, flat circular drip pan. The stems are constructed from solid rod, formed into a continuous S-scroll that loops back towards the centre and terminates in a small spherical finial. Each candlestick is supported by a stepped, weighted circular base with concentric turned detailing. The construction appears to be a combination of casting and hand-forming. No maker's marks or inscriptions are present on the visible surfaces.
