Evans and Sons Ltd). This design is commonly attributed to Peter Hayward. The piece is constructed with two rectangular surfaces featuring well-figured wood veneers, likely teak or afromosia, showing a distinct horizontal grain. The base is supported by four tapered, splayed legs. The smaller upper tier is elevated by two inset angled and tapered supports. On the underside of the frame is an original black rectangular metal maker's plate with white text that reads: THIS IS A Vanson PRODUCTION.
