A French Moustiers Faience Lidded Tureen and Underplate - A French Moustiers faience lidded tureen and matching underplate. This tin-glazed earthenware set features a polychrome hand-painted design on a white ground, depicting long-tailed birds, floral sprays, and insects. The decoration is framed by stylised geometric borders in yellow, green, and blue. The tureen is of circular form with a pedestal foot and twin side handles, topped with a domed lid and a moulded foliate finial. The interior base of the tureen bears a hand-painted mark in black which reads: MOUSTIERS. F.H. Tureen height: 25cm Underplate diameter: 30cm.
