UK 2006 Year of the Three Kings 70th Anniversary Silver Medal Cover - This commemorative philatelic set, titled 1936 - Year of the Three Kings, was issued in 2006 by The Westminster Collection to mark the 70th anniversary of the three-monarch year. The set is presented in a black textured folder featuring a gold-stamped portcullis emblem. It contains a Royal Mail miniature sheet comprising four stamps: three 1d definitive-style stamps depicting King George V, King Edward VIII, and King George VI, and a £3.00 commemorative stamp depicting Queen Elizabeth II. The sheet is cancelled with a pictorial first day of issue postmark from Three Kings Yard, London, W1, dated 31st August 2006. Inset within the mount is a silver-coloured commemorative medallion featuring the overlapping profiles of the three 1936 monarchs. The lot includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Chairman Stephen R. Allen, stating an edition limit of 500. A Mercury serial number label, M 007, is affixed to the lower right corner. The folder provides printed historical biographical text for each of the three kings.
