The obverse features the Veiled Head portrait of Queen Victoria designed by Thomas Brock, with the circumscribed legend VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP. The reverse displays the Benedetto Pistrucci design of St. George and the Dragon, with the date 1895 in the exergue. This issue was struck at the Royal Mint, London.
