A Pair of Heart-Shaped Pink Amethyst Slabs on a Double Metal Display Stand - This lot consists of a pair of heart-shaped slabs of pink amethyst, which is a variety of quartz containing hematite inclusions. The stones exhibit a mottled colouration ranging from salmon-pink to a dusty rose. Both pieces feature natural vugs lined with small druzy crystals. The specimen on the left shows a portion of dark matrix, likely basalt or chlorite, along its outer edge. These hearts are mounted on a single, custom-produced black-painted metal display stand. The stand is constructed with a square base and a central upright that splits into two arms, each featuring three-pronged clips to hold the specimens securely in an upright orientation. The material is typically associated with deposits in the Patagonia region of Argentina.
