A Group of British Korean War Medals and Parachute Regiment Insignia - This group comprises a full-size British Korea Medal, a full-size United Nations Service Medal for Korea, a miniature medal pair, and a Parachute Regiment cap badge. The British Korea Medal is struck in silver and features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REGINA F: D: on the obverse, indicating an early issue struck before 1953. The United Nations Service Medal is constructed of bronze-alloy and displays the UN emblem within a wreath, fitted with a silver-toned clasp inscribed KOREA. A mounted miniature set of both medals is also present. The accompanying Parachute Regiment cap badge is made from white metal, depicting a deployed parachute flanked by two outspread wings, surmounted by a St Edward's crown. The collection is presented in a modern black velvet-lined display box.
