The assembly features numerous sets and individual cards from prominent manufacturers including Brooke Bond Tea, John Player and Sons, and W.D. and H.O. Wills. Subject matter is diverse, ranging from natural history, including British mammals such as the badger, fox, and hedgehog, to marine life, birds, transport featuring steam locomotives and vintage motor cars, canine breeds, and historical costumes. A significant portion of the collection is organised within clear plastic multi-pocket sleeves and a maroon and yellow Famous Picture Cards from History Collector's Album. Additionally, a large plastic bag contains a bulk quantity of loose cards and ephemera, including postcards and envelopes, one of which bears a handwritten address to Blackburn Farm, Aberdeenshire.
