A Pair of Polished Brass Artillery Shell Casings - A pair of straight-walled, rimmed artillery shell casings of polished brass construction. The dimensions and profile of these casings are consistent with British 2-pounder Quick Firing (QF) rounds, commonly utilised in anti-aircraft and anti-tank ordnance during the mid-20th century. A faint broad arrow mark, or pheon, is visible on the exterior wall of one casing, indicating British military property. These items are inert and appear to have been prepared for decorative display.
