Bidspirit auction | A Vintage 24-Bass Piano Accordion
A Vintage 24-Bass Piano Accordion Attributed to Hohner - A vintage piano accordion featuring a twenty-five key piano-style keyboard and twenty-four bass buttons. The instrument is equipped with three treble coupler switches located above the keyboard. The body is finished in a black lacquer or celluloid coating, complemented by a chrome-plated metal grille with a mesh backing. The treble keys and bass buttons are constructed from plastic. The bellows are made from reinforced paper and fabric, featuring metal corner protectors. A strip of green and gold adhesive tape has been applied to the front and back of the casing, which likely obscures the original maker's branding or model information. The accordion is accompanied by a brown hard-shell carrying case with a worn, plush-lined interior. The shoulder straps are made of leather. This model is characteristic of student instruments common in the mid-20th century.
