English Golf Union Gold Medal Tournament Club Winner Medal by Firmin and Sons PLC - A circular gold-toned award medal for the English Golf Union Gold Medal Tournament. The obverse features an embossed Tudor rose design at the centre with the raised border text English Golf Union and Gold Medal Tournament. The reverse is inscribed Club Winner within a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the base. The medal is contained within its original dark blue presentation box with a hinged lid. The white satin lining to the interior of the lid is printed in gold with the maker mark for Firmin and Sons PLC, London, including two Royal Warrant crests. This medal was traditionally awarded to the winner of a qualifying competition at an individual golf club for entry into the national tournament.
