Silver Gilt and Enamel Masonic Essex Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies Badge by Toye Kenning and Spencer - A silver-gilt and enamel oval badge representing Masonic provincial regalia for the Province of Essex. The central design features a dark blue enamel field overlaid with a 925 silver device consisting of crossed wands tied with a ribbon, positioned above a scroll banner inscribed ASSISTANT. This iconography signifies the office of Assistant Director of Ceremonies. The textured outer border is embossed with the letters ESSEX. The reverse of the piece is stamped with the maker mark TOYE KENNING & SPENCER LONDON and T.K.& S. It also carries a full set of British hallmarks including the lion passant for sterling silver and the leopard head for the London Assay Office. A small suspension loop is present at the top.
