UK 2014 The Royal Mint First World War Outbreak £20 Fine Silver Coin - A United Kingdom commemorative £20 coin issued by The Royal Mint in 2014 to mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. Struck in .999 fine silver, the coin features the fourth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley on the obverse, surrounded by the inscription ELIZABETH·II·D·G·REG·F·D·TWENTY POUNDS. The reverse, designed by John Bergdahl, depicts Britannia standing on the deck of a naval vessel watching a departing fleet, with the inscriptions THE FIRST WORLD WAR 1914 - 1918 and the date 2014. The coin is presented in its original official card packaging, produced in partnership with the Imperial War Museums (IWM).
